Description
Technology Governance
- Develop and maintain technology governance frameworks and policies.
- Ensure alignment between the company's technology strategy and business objectives.
- Establish and monitor KPIs/KRIs for technology performance and compliance.
- Review and approve technology investments to ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
Data Governance Officer (DGO) Responsibilities
- Develop & Implement Data Governance Framework – Establish policies, standards, and accountability for data management across the organization.
- Ensure Data Quality & Integrity – Define data standards, monitor accuracy, and improve data consistency, completeness, and lineage tracking.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management – Enforce compliance with PDPA, GDPR, CCPA, manage data security, privacy, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders & Drive Data Culture – Work with IT, Legal, Risk, and Business teams to promote data governance and conduct training.
- Leverage Technology for Data Management – Implement data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, OneTrust) to enhance automation, metadata management, and security.
Qualification
Education background :
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, InformationTechnology, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISM, CRISC, CIPT) are a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technology governance, risk management, or related fields.
• Proven experience as a DPO or similar data compliance role.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as PDPA, GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific compliance standards.
• Experience in implementing data governance frameworks, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality programs.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data security, and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to develop data governance policies, guidelines, and best practices and communicate them effectively across the organization.
Skills need:
• Strong understanding of technology risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with IT, legal, risk, compliance, and business teams.
