International Workshop on Banking Security with Trusted Hardware

วันที่ 17-18 ธันวาคม 2560 (9.00น. – 16.00น.)

สถานที่ Bangkok Bank IT Division

In today's cloud computing and embedded computing environments, it is increasingly important to execute secure software under possibly adversarial conditions in which attackers have control over the physical system, operating system, and network. Secure computation in these environments requires trusted hardware. Several major hardware vendors have implemented various forms of trusted hardware, but it is not always clear what are the best practices for making use of the platforms, and they often turn out to have flaws. This workshop will gather experts, researchers, and practitioners for two days to discuss designs, applications, and best practices for the use of trusted hardware platforms.

The International Workshop in Banking Security with Trusted Hardware concentrates on the use of trusted hardware to secure various types of computing environments currently in use in the financial industry including mobile devices, IoT devices, and the cloud. These environments are increasingly prominent in today's competitive financial markets. Users rely on mobile devices to conduct financial transactions and automatically generate data through IoT devices such as beacons and IP cameras while organizations rely on cloud servers to process the high volume of transactions and usage data collected via the IoT devices. Any IT professional interested in deploying secure applications on trusted hardware platforms will benefit from the workshop.Speakers for the workshop and their affliation are as follows:

  • N. Asokan, Professor, Aalto University, Finland
  • Bhume Bhumirattana, Technology Consultant for the Security and Exchange Commissioner Office, Thailand (SEC)
  • Xavier Boyen, Associate Professor, Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
  • Jan-Erik Ekberg, CTO for Mobile Security, Huawei Technologies, Finland
  • Thomas Ristenpart, Associate Professor, Cornell Tech and Cornell University, USA
  • Narudom Roongsiriwong, Senior Vice President, Head of IT Security at Kiatnakin Bank, Thailand
  • Mark Dermot Ryan, HP Inc Professor in Computer Security, University of Birmingham, UK
